The prosperity gospel is a false teaching that focusesĀ on health and wealth. People such as Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, and Benny Hinn are associated with the prosperity gospel.

Piper’s the man! Anyway danny, believe it or not, I think my church has books from these guys like T.D. and others! I have to make sure tho!!! There has always been somethin in my mind about my church…if they actually know wat they r promoting or if they r jus bringing in books to sell!!! Either way, it’s frightening.

thats scary. talk to them about it. remember flame, in his song he describes how he went to school and learned sound doctrine…then went back to his church and realized it was false!

yea, I focused a lot on the message today!!! My pastor preached a great sermon…loved it! In the bookstore there are a couple of books about finance and success from T.D. Jakes and Joyce Meyer, however there are plenty of great doctrines as well and great music!!!
I do trust the ministry, but am shaky on how they view prosperity!
How have u been danny? Ur site is doin well!

thanks Chris. you must be careful, if someone can accept both true teaching and false teaching then it shows that they dont fully understand the truth. someone who mixes truth with error is the worst deceiver and the type of false teacher that the bible warns us about. false teaching always co-exists with some truth, that is why it tricks people and passes by their radar without detection.

i love this video.I feel like many christians now always talk about wanting stuff from God,and wanting more, and how they want blessings. It’s sad because as christians we shouldnt want more we should be satisfied with God alone. We shouldnt want more from God,we should want him.We shouldnt praise or love God just because we have matierial things we should praise him and see him as beautiful even when we have nothing. We should still see God as an amazing God even when we have nothing but him.

thanks Liz. one problem with the prosperity gospel is that it minimizes God’s worth. While God’s gifts and blessings to us are wonderful, God himself is infinitely more worthy than what he gives us.
